Solar collector without pressure
The unpressurized external tank solar collectors are solar collector systems in which the heat carrier fluid is low or neutral pressure, and the system does not require special pressure boosting or pressure control devices. These systems are generally easier to install and operate, and are often used to produce domestic hot water or for applications with less heat demand.
These tanks cannot be connected directly to the network, only with the optional Jakab valve. You can also circulate the pool water directly in it or heat it for industrial purposes. It can also be used for bathing, but the faucet must be installed in front of the tank.
It is not as convenient to use as the ones with pressure-resistant tanks, but it can be perfect for a weekend house.
The unpressurized tank solar collectors have a simpler design and are less expensive. These systems store smaller amounts of water and do not require a tightly closed system like pressure-resistant versions. These are excellent for places where water pressure is lower and simplicity of the system is required.
Caution, hot water is also possible in the tank, we recommend using a mixing valve!
Unpressurized tank solar collectors:
-
Advantages:
- Lower purchase price
- Easier installation
- Freeze protection with discharge
- For gravity water flow only
-
Disadvantages:
- Limited applicability (cannot be connected to mains water)
- Lower temperature water
- More frequent maintenance
Advantages of external tank solar collectors:
- Heat energy storage:We can store solar energy, so we can use it later when the sun is not shining.< /li>
- Environmentally friendly:Solar energy is a clean and renewable source of energy, it does not emit harmful substances.
- Money savings:Using solar collectors can significantly reduce heating and hot water production costs.
Disadvantages of external tank solar collectors:
- Purchase and installation cost:Purchasing and installing solar collectors is not cheap, but the investment pays off in the long run.
- Space requirements:There must be space for both the collectors and the tank.
- Maintenance:Solar collectors require regular maintenance.
When choosing solar collectors with an external tank, the following must be taken into account:
- The needs:How much hot water is needed? What temperature of water is needed?
- The features of the house:What is the orientation and angle of the roof? How much space is there to place the collectors?
- The budget:How much money do you allocate for the investment?
Solar collectors with external tanks are ideal:
- For family houses:They can cover most of the hot water needs of family houses.
- For vacationers:The vacationers can be provided with hot water during the season.
- For public buildings:They can also contribute to the heating and hot water supply of public buildings.
If you are thinking about installing an external tank solar collector, we recommend that you ask for professional advice.
