A small tank is mounted on the large tank of the solar collector, which compensates for the increase in liquid level due to the thermal expansion caused by the heating of the large tank, and refills it if necessary. See the attached drawing!
After the system is pressure-resistant, so you can let the mains pressure on it, and you don't have to mount it high, like the cheaper, pressure model without, where the hot water "pressure" is provided by the height of the tank, as far as you know!
The advantage is that domestic hot water is not stagnates in the tank, the liquid in the tank only serves for heat storage.
